In the heart of Pittsburgh’s skyline, its iconic bridges stand tall, reflecting a city built on connection and unity. As Rotarians, we are akin to these bridges – forging pathways of compassion, collaboration, and service. Just as Pittsburgh’s structures bind its communities, so does Rotary…binding us in a shared commitment to positive change. In the City of Bridges, we witness more than steel and concrete; we witness the embodiment of partnership and progress. Rotary, too, is a testament to these values, erasing boundaries, embracing diversity, and amplifying impact. Join us for the 2024 Zone Summit in Pittsburgh.

Each year, past, present and future leaders gather together from Zones 33 & 34 to share ideas, be inspired, and collaborate with other Rotarians. Our time together not only improves our own knowledge and skills, but also builds memories and friendships within our greater Rotary community. What better place to make these connections than Pittsburgh, PA, the City of Bridges, and home to 2024-2025 RI President Stephanie Urchick? In 2024, the stars have aligned for a Summit that will provide unique opportunities and create lasting memories. Jonas Salk, creator of the polio vaccine, culminated life changing research in the laboratories of the University of Pittsburgh, creating the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate World Polio Day together. We are also proud to partner with Sleep in Heavenly Peace for the 2024 Zone Summit service project. Sleep in Heavenly Peace improves the health and well-being of local children by building beds for children who don’t currently have one. These are just a few of the opportunities that await you in Pittsburgh at the 2024 Zone Summit. Join us in The City of Bridges and build your own connections.
This year’s Zone Summit builds on the work being done at our clubs and districts every day. Join us for phenomenal keynotes, interactive workshops, opportunities to collaborate and serve, and more in our RI President’s home district! Plus, we’ll be together over World Polio Day, which promises its own unique celebration.
The Summit will offer specialized tracks for those in the DG line, those joining us as Emerging Leaders, and for Past District Governors.
There’s no other city quite like it in structure — driving in through the mountains feels like you’ve passed into another world, a little greener and more beautiful than the one you left behind. The city sits where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers come together to form the Ohio River, and so it is criss-crossed by some of the more beautiful American bridges.
Beyond the refreshing city design and unique geography, Pittsburgh is home to a host of true gems of tourism, shopping, and dining. From the Carnegie Library and Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, to the wonderful shopping and dining in Shadyside, Pittsburgh is a city worthy of spending your time in.
“That’s what I want Rotary to be: simply irresistible. I’m hoping Rotary and Rotaract clubs will be simply irresistible to community members who have a heart for service and fellowship.”
